Learn about Medicare careQuestions & answers
What is geriatric care in primary care?
Geriatric care focuses on the health needs of older adults—preventive visits, chronic disease management, medication review, fall prevention, and support for caregivers. We take time to understand what matters most to you: staying active, managing symptoms, or maintaining independence at home.
Do you accept Medicare patients?
Yes. We welcome Medicare and Railroad Medicare patients and offer Medicare Annual Wellness Visits. Learn more on our Medicare primary care page or call us with plan-specific questions.
Can you help if I take many medications?
Yes. Medication review is a core part of geriatric care. We look for duplications, interactions, and opportunities to simplify your regimen when it is safe to do so.
What if I am worried about falls or balance?
Tell us at your visit. We can review medicines that affect balance, discuss home safety, recommend strength and mobility steps, and refer to physical therapy or other specialists when appropriate.
How do I schedule a geriatric care visit?
Established patients can schedule online through Athena. New patients should call (810) 662-3220 or use our new patient form. For Medicare Annual Wellness Visits, physicals, and certain procedures, please call us to book.
Do you work with family caregivers?
Yes. With your permission, we welcome family members or caregivers at visits and help coordinate communication when multiple people support your care at home.
